I am a skater who likes to talk about skateboarding. So I made a website where I can do that.
I have been skateboarding for 20+ years and have learned a thing or two. I like to skate a lot of different things and I started to make things of my own to skate. I wanted to make things the will allow you to do new tricks. Doing this I got into skatepark design and advocacy. I have work on over 50 skateparks. I have been the lead designer on a few projects but I still felt that I was not able to create what I wanted.
To learn about the tool I used to make this website it is SBI. My SBI Review of this tool is great.
Here is a video of me skating at my latest project.
When I got interested in skateboarding the sport was at a bit of a low point. I lived in a small town far from the city. The combination of these made it hard to get equipment. Things got better though because the popularity of skateboarding began to grow.
Within a few years there were videos games and big competitions. They exposed many more people to the sport. With the growth came more stores and places to get skateboards. Now the Olympics are coming with skateboarding.
This is great!
This video says it all. This is the skatepark in made in my hometown of Dunnville Ontario Canada.
I skateboard because I love it.
I love it so much that I spend my time trying to grow it. I started skateboardhere.com so I can continue to grow skateboarding. By sharing what I have learned. And I have learned a lot.
So stay on my site while I build it. you will be able to get information on every aspect of skateboarding from someone who knows.
If you have comments on my opinions please contact me. I will consider your thoughts and try to get back to you in a timely fashion.
I look forward to building more and more so check back and see what I have been up to.
Thanks,
Nan Adie
